MISSION

The aim was to test various functions of innovative customer-facing robots in MediaMarkt and Saturn stores and to evaluate customer reactions to them. The goal was to check whether the robots lead to greater customer loyalty and media resonance in relation to the local press. In addition, it was evaluated whether the robots can help customers find their way around the stores and sell products.
CONCEPT

The robot was prepared for two different use cases in the areas of interaction design, dialog design and screen design in order to observe the interaction between customers and the company and gain relevant insights.
Use case 1:
The robot acts as a welcome manager in the entrance area of the stores. It offers customers the opportunity to be entertained by the robot with dances, games, selfies and much more. Alternatively, they can use an integrated store map on its display or spoken dialogs to navigate directly to the product areas they are looking for.
Use case 2:
The robot acts as a promoter for selected products and advertises them via dialogs and customized content on its display.
REALIZATION

The screen design and dialogues were conceived directly by us and transferred to the robot via a CMS from the robot provider Humanizing Technologies.
